Vision And Mission  
DAV Public Schools are based on the philosophy of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. In fact, Swami Dayanand Saraswati is the beacon of light for DAV movement. The DAV movement was founded in 1866 by Lala Lajpat Rai, a great freedom fighter of modern India. The first DAV School was established on 1st June 1886 at Lahore with Mahatma Hansraj as the first Principal of the School. To spread the light of education Mahatma Narayan Das Grover moved from place to place and established schools and colleges in Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand, Bihar, U.P., M.P., Orissa and West Bengal. Now-a-days DAV Schools are the largest non-governmental educational organization in India managing more than 720 educational institutions in various corners of the land and abroad. The rich aroma of DAV institutions has admirably embraced for its fair, unbiased and unique service in bringing for the artists, patriots, social reformers, educationists, scholars, doctors, engineers, scientists, sports personalities of rare attributes and unchallenged vigour.

About Ourselves

The DAV Public School, Dhanupara, Ara (Bhojpur), a co-educational institute established in the year 1990, is situated in eco-friendly atmosphere at Ara-Patna Road about 8 km. away from Ara Railway Station. The school is running classes from Std. I to Std. XII and affiliated to C.B.S.E., New Delhi. The school has a twin-triple-storeyed building with a vast playground. It has a rich library, well equipped laboratories, computer lab with internet facilities, Digital Interactive Class-rooms (Smart Class), modern educational equipments to cater to the entire curricular and co-curricular urge of the talented young boys and girls. The school has sufficient infrastructure to accommodate new experiments in educational in terms of apparatus and staff expertise.
